Summary

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for an Infrastructure Security Intern to join 2026 Summer Internship program to support the Information Technology department. Willkie is an elite international law firm with approximately 1,300 lawyers across 16 offices in six countries.

 

The Infrastructure Security Intern will be a member of the Infrastructure and Security team and will participate in various projects. The ideal candidate will be in the process of pursuing an undergraduate degree in IT Security/Cyber Security or similar field. Candidates should be intellectually curious and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidential information at all times. Additionally, candidates will have strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

 

This a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on IT experience in a law firm environment. Candidates should be willing to work 35 hours weekly starting June 2026 through August 2026 for 10 weeks, with the possibility to extending into the academic year. Dates to be announced once finalized. 

Responsibilities

  • Support application security initiatives and related remediation activities.
  • Review and handle security alerts.
  • Develop security detection rules.
  • Conduct vulnerability research and follow up with stakeholders on remediation progress.
  • Create documentation for processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work from June through August.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in IT Security/Cyber Security or similar field.
  • Experience in coding/scripting, networking.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

ADA Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
  • Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
  • Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
  • Ability to moderate objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 25 lbs.

 

Employment Status

  • Non-Exempt (Hourly)

 

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.

Pay Range Statement

The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location. This position is a part-time hourly role and benefits eligibility will be more limited. Candidates should direct questions about benefits to the hiring manager for clarification as needed.
