Summary

The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Analytics. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries. 

 

The ideal candidate will work to build easy-to-use, maintain self-service tools for the finance department as well as our stakeholders, often in collaboration with IT developers. They will be responsible for a very large amount of inbound recurring and ad-hoc requests, and must be able to manage multiple priorities at once.  They will set and maintain high performance standards for an experienced team. This role will work on the department and the CFO’s top priorities.

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and develop a team of four, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the production, accuracy, and timeliness of recurring financial and operational reports for leadership and practice groups, including overhaul of existing reporting.
  • Manage the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-powered tools to enhance reporting automation, improve data analysis, and deliver predictive insights.
  • Collaborate closely with IT to optimize data architecture, resolve technical issues, and ensure seamless integration of financial data sources.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Practice Management, and Operations to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and scalability.
  • Stay current with emerging tools and technologies — including AI — to strengthen the firm’s analytics capabilities.
  • Lead and develop a team of four, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Accounting or Finance degree, 
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience with previous management experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Strong Computer skills (MS Office Applications) Strong financial and analytic skills.

  • Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances.
  • Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
  • Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals.
  • Ability to carry light objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 15lbs.

Pay Range

USD $225,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Range Statement

The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
