Summary

The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for an Financial Analyst to support the Finance & Accounting Department. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries.


The Financial Analyst will assist the Finance & Accounting team with a variety of duties including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and special project work. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in an Accounting/Finance career path, have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidential information at all times. Additionally, candidates will have strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be willing to work in office two to three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Compile financial information for monthly/quarterly reporting
  • Prepare financial presentations for key stakeholders (management, partners, etc.)
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Perform account analysis and explain variances from budget
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficiency in Excel (including V-LOOKUPS and Pivot Tables)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint
  • A detailed oriented, critical thinker with strong analytic skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Work effectively as an individual or within groups
  • Must be a team player and self-starter
  • Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Co-Pilot and similar platforms a plus

ADA Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
  • Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
  • Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
  • Ability to carry light [to moderate] objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 15 lbs

Pay Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.

The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
