The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking to hire a Professional Development & Engagement Intern to be a part of our 2025 internship program and support our Associate Engagement Sr. Specialist. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 15 offices in six countries.

This a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. Candidates should be willing to work in office regularly, Monday through Friday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm for Summer with the possibility of extending on a part time basis into the academic year. 

• Out reach and Engagement
• Assist in the planning and execution of development projects and initiatives.
• Help to create, develop and deliver activities, programs and events to facilitate interaction among the attorneys and staff professionals across offices and within departments
• Compile, draft and produce content for Willkie360 and other outlets to promote programming and individual associate accomplishments.

• Must be in the process of completing an associates, undergraduate degree
• Strong excel skills required
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively 
• Proficient in administrative functions with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build interpersonal relationships

• Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
• Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
• Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
• Ability to moderate objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.
• Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 25 lbs.

The pay range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.

This position is a part-time hourly role and benefits eligibility will be more limited. Candidates should direct questions about benefits to the hiring manager for clarification as needed.
