Summary

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP’s New York office is looking for an entry-level Lateral Recruitment Assistant to support the partner and counsel recruitment and integration process. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 15 offices in six countries. 

 

The Lateral Recruitment Assistant will be responsible for assisting with lateral partner and counsel recruitment processes, as well as organizing the onboarding processes for new hires. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, prior working experience, and the ability to think creatively, work independently, and collaborate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with lateral partner and counsel recruitment processes, including
    • data entry
    • assisting with scheduling meetings
  • Onboarding and Integrating New Joiners
  • Assist with organizing onboarding processes for new joiners, including
    • scheduling orientation meetings
    • coordinating with various internal departments at the firm
    • executing long-term integration efforts for each hire
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • One year of working experience preferred
  • Strong administrative, analytical, and researching skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage various projects with limited supervision and work well under pressure
  • Ability to communicate with individuals of all levels within the firm and clients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Ability to maintain confidential information at all times
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet business needs

ADA Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances.
  • Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
  • Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals.
  • Ability to carry light to moderate objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 15 lbs. on occasion.

Pay Range

USD $50,000.00 - USD $50,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Range Statement

The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
