The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a Word Processing Intern to support the Word Processing team. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 15 offices in six countries.
The Word Processing Intern will be a part of our summer internship program and will work closely with the Administrative Services department to assist with the input, editing, and filtering of digital documents. Including but limited to tasks such as excel input, document conversion, and utilizing various management platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical, reading and writing skills and be able to maintain confidential information at all times. This a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. Candidates should be available to work in-person from June 2025 through August 2025 with the possibility to extend into a part time position during the school year.
• Convert Adobe PDF into Word and format per Willkie standard – using DocXtools & Innova numbering/TOC QuickFills
• Knowledge of Innova numbering & TOC using QuickFills
• Format Word files per Willkie standards – applying Innova numbering/TOC
• Inputting information into PowerPoint, Excel, and Word files
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must be in the process of completing an undergraduate or graduate degree
• Ability to work from June through August
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be proficient in Adobe
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills while maintaining a strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build interpersonal relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous office experience is a plus
• Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
• Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
• Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
• Ability to carry light to moderate objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.

The pay range for this role is $19 - $22 per hour and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location. This position is a part-time hourly role and benefits eligibility will be more limited. Candidates should direct questions about benefits to the hiring manager for clarification as needed.
